Jeffrey Mueller

Jeffrey L. Mueller is President and Chief Executive Officer of both Mueller & Associates, P. C. and Mueller Financial Solutions Co. Jeff was born in Canon City and attended local schools, graduating from Southern Colorado State College (now Colorado State University - Pueblo) in 1972 with a BS in accounting. After serving on the staff of one of the nation’s "Big 8" CPA firms and supervising an internal audit department for a Fortune 500 company in San Francisco, Jeff returned to Canon City in 1976 forming the firm that ultimately evolved into Mueller & Associates, P. C. In 1992 he met the necessary requirements to become a "Personal Financial Specialist", a designation available exclusively for CPAs who have exhibited technical competency in the area of financial planning, and who have passed a rigorous examination and met necessary experience requirements. Currently he is one of only 2,500 in the country licensed to do so.

Since 1976 he has been very active in community and professional organizations, and has been involved in and held leadership roles in Main Street USA, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, National Association of Accountants, Colorado Society of CPAs, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Emmaus of the Rockies, Canon City High School Advisory Committee, School District Fremont RE-1 Career Education Task Force, St. Michael’s Parish Council and various other church leadership boards, Fremont County Vision Committee, Royal Gorge Region Review Task Force, City of Canon City Board of Adjustment, Shadow Hills Golf Club Treasurer, All Seasons Ice LLC National Board, and was the Co-Chair of the successful 2003 School Bond Election. Jeff has also been a worship leader at various churches over the years. Jeff and his wife Connie were honored in 2016 and again in 2024 for their contribution and generosity to the Boys & Girls Club. He was chosen as a Community Champion by the Denver Broncos and was named Colorado CPA “Making a Difference” in 2017. Recently, Jeff has been conducting financial literacy classes in the region and teaching end of life issues at Senior Mini Colleges.
